Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026
This policy explains how Fantasy Butler uses cookies and similar technologies on fantasybutler.com. For broader context on how we handle data, see the Privacy Policy.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site recognize your browser between visits, remember preferences, and help us understand which parts of the site are useful.
We also use local storage and session storage for similar purposes. The rules below apply to all of these.
What We Use
Essential
These are required for the site to work. You cannot opt out of essential cookies without breaking core functionality.
- Session and CSRF protection set by our infrastructure provider, Vercel, to maintain your session and protect form submissions from cross-site request forgery.
- Rate-limit identifiers used to prevent bot submissions on the waitlist form. These expire within 24 hours.
- __cf_bm supports Cloudflare bot-management challenges for security. It is set by Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider, and expires after 30 minutes.
Analytics
These help us understand how the site is used. They only load after you accept them through the cookie banner. Until you accept, no analytics scripts run on your visit.
- PostHog records pageviews, button clicks, and form interactions to help us improve the product. PostHog also records anonymized session replays with sensitive form fields masked by default.
- Google Analytics 4 records aggregate pageviews, referral source, and traffic patterns.
Third Party
These are set by services embedded on our site:
- Vercel Speed Insights measures page-load performance.
- Stripe (when paid features launch) supports fraud prevention and payment session continuity. Stripe's cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not enable third-party advertising trackers. We do not sell cookie-derived data.
How to Opt Out
You have several options:
Browser-level controls. Most modern browsers let you block cookies, clear them, or warn you before they are set. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Do Not Track. We honor browser Do Not Track signals where technically feasible. Sending DNT will suppress non-essential analytics.
Service-level opt-outs:
- Google Analytics: install the GA opt-out browser add-on.
- PostHog respects DNT. You can also opt out by emailing hello@fantasybutler.com.
Consent banner. A cookie consent banner appears on your first visit, letting you accept or reject analytics and session replay individually. You can revisit your choices anytime using the button below or the Manage cookie preferences link in the footer.
Changes
We may update this policy as we add or remove services. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
